YOU ARE HERE:

The Shaftesbury Peer Support Group – 7th October. Ioana from the Community Insights project, commissioned by the CCG will be speaking and hearing your views on areas of hidden inequality that people with enduring mental illness face.

We will be meeting at the Royal British Legion Hall, Shaftesbury from 2 pm until 4 pm on Thursday 7th October.

Health Equality Partnership (Dorset Community Action (DCA) and Community Action Network (CAN) Community Insights Project is running from June 2021 until November 2021 and is commissioned by the Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group.

The insights gained by the project will be used by the NHS, the Primary Care Networks and the voluntary sector to improve and develop services for the people that really need them.

“We are particularly interested in further exploring existing barriers and in uncovering potentially new ones, and in the overall experiences with healthcare of people suffering from ill mental health, across Dorset.

We aim to identify poor and/or unequitable healthcare provision among those service providers actively involved in supporting people with enduring mental illness, we aim to raise awareness of the barriers that prevent them from accessing health services and to devise a plan of action for positive change.

Finally, we aim to identify subject areas that would benefit from future targeted and in-depth research.”

If you can’t or don’t want to attend the group in person, please let me have your views by email or via the contact form of this website.

Thank you

Amanda
