Peer Carers Training

Dorset Mental Health Carers Project and Dorset Mental Health Forum are working together on training for Peer Carers, which will be available to start training around end of September. Peers are people who use their own experience to help support another person struggling either with their mental health or in this case their caring role.

Within this training, for those who may be interested there is a separate section to train to give support to someone who has experienced a suicide.

The course’s will be in two or four modules, depending on which Peer training they are interested in. To find out more or become involved,  call Joy on 01305 340045.
