“Our next Repair Café session will be on Saturday 13th November from 2pm to 4pm and thereafter on the second Saturday of each month. The venue is The Slade Café in the Square. A team of ‘fixers’ will be available to perform straight forward repairs. The idea being to reduce the number of items discarded, often unnecessarily, ending up in landfill.
Bring along your items for repair – tools, small appliances such as kettles and toasters, domestic items, simple bicycle problems etc and a team of fixers will do their best to save them. Enjoy a cup of something and maybe a snack in the lovely Slade Cafe while you wait. There will be no charge for this service , but donations towards costs will be gratefully received.”
