I am delighted to say that our group has been awarded £210 from “The nsun covid-19 fund” to cover the cost of designing this website and hosting fees for one year. A hurried application after I came across this fund in an email from ‘Mind’ just before I went to bed was certainly worth it! I have been working with Gareth from Williams Web Solutions to get it up and running as soon as possible
I have tried to keep in contact with members from the group mostly by text but I have found it very difficult. I hope this website will provide a way to keep us all in touch. Please let me know if you have any ideas or suggestions and I would love to post any news you have (with your permission). I have a new email address: mentalhealthshaf2520@gmail.com which you can use to contact me.
If you have any thoughts on how we can keep in contact please let me know. As the situation improves I have been thinking that we may be able to meet up outside at some point, perhaps at Barton Hill Recreation Ground. It is likely that we will be able to use the Royal British Legion Hall sooner than the Grosvenor in which case I shall try and arrange to meet there twice a month.
If there are enough people interested in a Zoom meeting before then, I would certainly look into setting this up.
I have been participating in COPING, (Covid-19 Psychiatry and Neurological Genetics Study) which is a questionnaire every fortnight.
We are currently attempting to meet up as a group of 6 at Barton Hill Recreation Ground twice a month – weather permitting! If there are enough people interested in a Zoom meeting, I would certainly look into setting this up.
