From Carer Support Dorset Newsletter

You must register as a carer with them to take advantage of these resources and activities.

Dorset Council Occupational Therapy (OT) training session – Wednesday 28th April and Wednesday 5 May, 11am-12noon
An exciting session hosted by Dorset Council’s Occupational Therapy service just for Carer Support Dorset registered carers, covering the following topics:- Equipment to help in the home for you and your loved one Technology supporting a caring role Common adaptations to support independence and safety at home Safe Moving and Handling There will be an opportunity to ask the OT panel any questions you may have on the above topics following the presentations. You will be sent a link to join on the day.
Virtual Cuppa (drop-in session) on Tuesday 13 April, 11am-12noon A chance to talk to other carers and one of our carer advisers.
Emotional Resilience Workshop on Tuesday 13 April, 12noon-2pm. A chance to learn about strategies to help you cope and develop resilience. This session is with Aster group.
Physical Intelligence Workshop on Wednesday 21 April 3pm-4pm. Run by Aster Group and will talk about different hormones, how to recognise them and use them to our benefit.
You must have completed the Emotional Resilience workshop to subscribe to this session. 
Virtual Cuppa with The Royal National Institute for Deaf People (RNID) on Wednesday 28 April, 2pm-3pm A session on hearing loss awareness and how to support someone with hearing loss.
Dementia Workshop on Wednesday 5 May, 10am-11am. Training provided by Promas Caring for People Community Interest Company.
