Dorset Mind has chosen Shaftesbury as the first area in the north of the county for rolling out therapeutic gardening sessions, also known as ecotherapy. The charity has partnered with Blackmore Vale GPs and Shaftesbury in Bloom Volunteers to maintain a plot at the Abbey View Medical Centre. The hope is to provide weekly sessions for small groups of adults, including NHS workers, emergency services staff, carers, and relatives of people with dementia.
