Your season of stories – a series of 4 weekly workshops starting Monday 8th November
“During each free workshop there will be opportunities to take part in creative, nature-inspired activities facilitated by our team of experienced Dorset-based artists, led by Stepping into Nature. Through creative participation and gentle conversation, we will also explore how each of us can be an artist in everyday life and everyday places.
Each workshop will be facilitated by two amazing Dorset artists. Martin Maudsley (storyteller), Ilse Black (a visual artist), Sarah Acton (landscape poet), Sarah Jane Ross (visual artist).
As part of this workshop, we will be exploring new creative approaches to art and nature, with some of the activities leading to a collection of shared artwork. The resulting resource will provide inspiration for others to create their own art, stories and poetry, wherever they are. Free copies of the final, high-quality resource will be available from May 2022.
The activities are free and aimed at those that would like to meet others, discover new experiences and connections to nature and to boost their own creative confidence. No previous experience or special talent is required! Attendees are signing up to attend all 4 weekly sessions.
The activities will be particularly suitable for older adults, people living with long term health conditions including dementia, people in caring roles or people that have been affected by Covid-19.
Spaces are limited to ensure everyone remains safe and comfortable so please do not take a place unless you will definitely be attending.
