The Minister for Mental Health, Nadine Dorries, is launching a new strategy to tackle the inequality in health services later this year and she wants to hear from every woman in England.

Bipolar Uk said:

“If you have bipolar disorder, please suggest better research and services for women who are affected because of the way their hormones impact their illness and make it worse – particularly around menopause and perimenopause, pregnancy and childbirth and because of the menstrual cycle.  The problems women with bipolar live with at these times are largely ignored and we need improvements to be included in the strategy.”
