Yeovil Safe Space

Crisis Safe Space offers out-of-hours, emotional support for anyone who feels like they are really struggling with their mental health. A warm, welcoming space for you to visit when you need someone to talk to. You will be met by a supportive member of staff who will be there to listen, advise, talk through options, and offer signposting, whilst helping you find ways of coping and managing your current difficulties, whatever they may be.

Yeovil Community Day

Our Yeovil Community Day is for anyone experiencing poor mental health who would benefit from attending and participating in group activities or people who just want advice and information. We provide a welcoming place to drop in where people can socialise with others that may be in a similar situation to them, be involved in fun activities or access guidance, reassurance and support. The Community Day runs every Wednesday 10:00am- 4:00pm at the Yeovil Foyer Peters Street Yeovil. Our helpful and friendly Support Worker, Holly, is available on the day to offer emotional support and information regarding our services plus signposting to other agencies and services. This project is run by the users of the group who plan and organise various activities and help make decisions about the day. Different creative activities are available each week (across a 4/5 week rolling schedule). Our afternoon Art groups are facilitated by experienced art tutors.

18 – 25 years
FREED is First Episode Rapid Early Intervention for Eating Disorders. It is a service for 16 to 25-year-olds who have had an eating disorder for three years or less (anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder or another eating disorder). Young people getting help for their eating disorder through FREED are given rapid access to specialised treatment which gives special attention to challenges we know young people face during these years of their life, and in the early stages of an eating disorder.

GOT YOUR SIX UK
A CIC which provides a new military community hub and therapeutic wellbeing centre in Wincanton. Provides military-specific counselling and psychotherapy, a drop-in space for the whole community, a pre-loved bookshop and a communal wellbeing garden.
Low cost, trauma informed, miltary specific therapy service open to serving personnel, veterans, spouses, their families, and relatives of those serving such as parents, or older children. Peer support mentors also help to access more formal welfare services.
