Anti-depressants in the news

I was concerned to read recent reports in the National newspapers and on social media about a study on anti-depressants just published by UCL. The study is a good one but the headlines and to a certain extent the reports were not. This article about that study should be read by anyone scared about starting or currently on anti-depressants. I needed them and in spite of difficult withdrawal (I have just stopped after a year slowly reducing from a high dose) I would not want people to be frightened of them or to discount them if they are necessary.
