(For clarity – Making Space is a separate organisation from Mental Health North Dorset but we are helping get it going again by paying for the space at Shaftesbury Wellbeing Centre)
It’s official. Making Space will be up and running on a weekly basis from 30th January 2023.
Every Monday morning 10-11.30. Start the week creatively .
Venue: Shaftesbury Wellbeing Centre, 1 Abbey Walk, SP7 8BB (Just off Park Walk in town centre).
Activities vary; an eclectic mix of arts and crafts. Think more preschool than ‘A’Level! This is about connecting with and finding pleasure in creativity rather than perfecting skills.
This is a not for profit, unfunded group. Donations of £5-7.50 per session suggested but pay what you can to cover materials, tea/coffee/biscuits.
With thanks to Mental Health North Dorset for use of the space.
If you are curious about Making Space’s first get together on Monday 30th 10-11.30. We will be working on small squares of paper and painting, splashing, sponging, swirling, dotting, smudging, feathering paint to explore different skies. You’ll be surprised how good it looks when 9 little squares are displayed together. Remember this is for your relaxation and pleasure. No one is better than anyone else, we do this for ourselves. We are Making Space for ourselves…
